there is such a thing as a broken heart

I heard about it here "Quake-victims-suffer-broken-heart-syndrome" while thinking about the perfect last minute Mothers Day recipe - YES! boys & girls it is THIS Sunday!!!
Sooo I'm thinking about our special Mums, about quake victims both here in New Zealand, in Japan & throughout the world - this mothers day needs a bit of care this year

So on a brighter note, here are five ingredients to prevent your mum suffering from Broken Heart Syndrome this mothers day.

1. breakfast in bed - even if you can't make it to mums till noon. how about something fresh bright & vesty?

2. a hand written card shows thought and how well she's raised you.

3. get her "colours" done. honestly it'll be a family investment, in fact get the works and pay for a style consultation too. i recommend the lovely Christine Lemalu from Smitten here in Auckland.

4. an iphone 4 or ipad 2, load it up with apps SHE'LL find useful and teach her how to use it . . . can't afford that? teach her how to skype she'll think its "RADICAL!"

5. make a red cross or save the children donation in your mums name name, at her age she "has everything she needs" and she has given you "everything you have", thank her and tell her all the kids on this planet need a mum like her
